Popular department store Debenhams provides pet owners with an effective, affordable choice for pet insurance. You can choose between Bronze, Silver and Gold policies, although every policy does include bereavement counselling, pet legal, vet helpline and third party liability. Bronze will entitle policyholders to £2,000 to cover vet fees per condition, whereas Silver increases this amount to £4,000 and Gold offers the maximum of £7,000. Silver and Gold include cover for death from accident or illness, advertising and reward, boarding fees, theft or straying and holiday cancellation, although Gold cover offers significantly higher values. You can apply for cover immediately, and there’s no upper age limit; your cat or dog must be at least 8 weeks old and, as with other pet insurances, pre-existing conditions are not covered. Claims are dealt with swiftly and efficiently, and Debenhams will usually pay the vet directly where possible in order to make things easier for you. Debenhams Pet Insurance is a good choice for those who want a helpful, affordable and efficient pet care policy.
