Direct Line has a solid and broad customer base, with a reputation for customer satisfaction. You can expect comprehensive insurance at a competitive price with Direct Line, and the pet insurance is certainly no different. Direct Line offers customers a very appealing ’12 months for the price of 9’ offer, which is great value for money, as you don’t want to pay over the odds when you can get the right pet insurance policy with a generous discount. Vet fees are included, with the Essential policy covering £4,000 for each illness or injury, whilst the Advanced policy increases the amount to £6,000 per condition. Helplines are also included, with numbers for legal advice and pet bereavement counselling. Pet owners can also choose to tailor their cover by including optional extras such as cover for a reward/advertising in the event of theft or straying, and other benefits available are third party liability and overseas travel cover. Direct Line Pet Insurance is restricted to dogs and cats, so other animals, such as rabbits, cannot be covered, and the pet must be in good health at the start of the policy. The pet must also be between 8 weeks and 11 years old, although certain dog breeds must be no older than 6 years. The policies available provide choice and affordability for dog and cat owners looking to find a quality pet care policy.
