Petplan Review
Petplan has spent over 30 years developing and perfecting high quality, definitive pet care policies and has become a market leader in pet insurance. Petplan works closely with vets and charities throughout the UK as part of its dedicated process, and this shows in the pet insurance plans on offer. Pet owners can choose a time-limited policy, providing up to £3,000 for vet fees over a maximum of 12 months, per condition. There is no upper age limit on this policy, called Pet Value, and it also includes any required behavioural treatment or physiotherapy, up the amount quoted for vet fees. Pet owners can choose something more comprehensive, with a Covered for Life policy. This level of cover will have additional benefits, such as advertising, reward, emergency repatriation and quarantine expenses. The maximum value of each type of coverage will depend on whether you choose the Budget or Supreme versions of the Covered for Life policy; Supreme will give you £12,000 maximum for vet fees per year, whilst Budget will give you £4,000. Third party liability is included in all dog an equine policies and all policies have access to a legal helpline and online claims tracking. As a dedicated pet care provider, Petplan also offers many great extras to customers such as a copy of the bi-yearly customer magazine PetPeople, exclusive discounts for local and national events, competitions and customer rewards. I have my horse insured with petplan equine and they have been good so far, i haven't given 5 stars as i haven't made a claim yet, once i deal with them again, i will probably change my star rating!
